About Lake Lorelei
Lake Lorelei is a picturesque, private lake community just 2 miles within Brown County, Ohio. Located directly off State Route 131 and a half mile from US Route 50, it's a centralized to shopping, entertainment and within an hour's drive of Cincinnati. With three private lakes, a clubhouse, marina and beaches, there are many recreational activities within the Lake Lorelei community.

History of Lake Lorelei
Lake Lorelei was the 50th of American Realty Service Corp's recreational developments, located in Perry Township at the northern panhandle of Brown County. Farms owned by the McCafferys, Bergers, Sorgs and various small plots were purchased for the development of Lake Lorelei.
This area was chosen for it's topography and the Glady Run stream.

1967: Trustees were appointed to work in cooperation with American Realty Service Corp to help with the development of our recreational lake.

1968: April - the lakes were filled to capacity.

1969: The first Board of Trustees of the Lake Lorelei Property Owners Assoc. was formed
The last lot was sold by the American Realty Service Corp.
There were 12 full-time residents.
The 5,000 square foot Clubhouse (KURHAUSE) was completed.
A ten-million gallon water system was completed.

1987: A large pavilion was added.

A large equipment barn was constructed near the rebuilt marina. This houses maintenance equipment and a small office.

The original, inadequate guard building was replaced by the efforts of member volunteer engineers and builders.

Ongoing: The Lake Lorelei maintenance department continually works to improve Lake Lorelei, even recently installing new culvert pipes and updating roadways.
